Join Waxahatchee and Good Morning at the Corner Hotel tomorrow night for an evening of alt-country catharsis, thanks to Carlton Dry 3.5%

The Corner Hotel has been slinging drinks since the 1800s. Since then, it’s built a reputation as one of Melbourne’s premiere music venues.

Carlton have quite a history with the pub, with an employee proposing introducing music to the space in 1984. The first artists to play there were The Adventure and Big Music Works in the mid-80s.

The lore of The Corner runs deep; extending to the infamous pole (which has its own merch line), being the backdrop for U2’s legendary video clip for their single Window in the Skies and the band room is credited as being where Jack White of The White Stripes conceived the riff of ‘Seven Nation Army’.

As part of the ALWAYS LIVE 2024 season, The Corner will host Waxahatchee (Katie Crutchfield), acclaimed singer-songwriter from Alabama. Queen of the scene, Crutchfield's music is noted for its poetic Southern flair and emotional honesty, positioning her as one of her generation’s most gifted songwriters. Presented by Carlton Dry 3.5%, Katie’s performance at The Corner promises to be intimate and vulnerable and an opportunity to see tracks from her impressive catalogue in full flight.

To add to the excitement, the Corner Hotel and Carlton Dry 3.5% are giving punters a chance to win a double pass to see the show, a $100 bar tab, and an ALWAYS LIVE merchandise prize pack.

To enter, purchase a Carlton Dry 3.5% meal deal or a Carlton Dry 3.5% for you and a friend and you’ll go in the running to see the show.
