Emma Donovan

Emma Donovan & Friends; Live and Acoustic returns to the NGVA Ian Potter Center in Fed Square this November for its third iteration as part of ALWAYS LIVE 2024.

With the release of her new solo album ‘Til My Song Is Done,’ Emma Donovan has found herself getting back to the sound of country, with a feeling of being on country. Before her soul-funk and gospel output with The Putbacks, before her Black Arm Band years and even before the Stiff Gins, there were Emma Donovan outfits of silk and sequins and two-song sets of the biggest country hits. This album is honoring the legacy of her family country music ways.

Not only will she be appearing at the event, but she has also curated a stunning line-up of First Nation’s talent to join her in a captivating afternoon of storytelling that celebrates Indigenous excellence.

Featuring performances from Deline Briscoe, David Arden, Candice Lorrae, Jayden Lillyst  and set against the backdrop of the Wurrdha Marra gallery, Emma Donovan & Friends; Live & Acoustic is an opportunity for attendees to learn about the rich cultural history of First Nations communities and experiences through song.
