ALWAYS LIVE Garage Band presented by JOF & Fed Square kicks off the ALWAYS LIVE schedule for the year, and 2023 promises to be huge.
We've found 26 of the freshest young bands and musicians from all over the state, and we can't wait to see them jump on stage at Fed Square and put on a show!

Tom Nethersole

Kitty Rae
Kitty Rae is already taking the scene by storm with a unique blend of bubbly charm and emotive storytelling. Their music delves into the emotional ups and downs of life, showcasing a powerful message of self-acceptance and standing up for yourself.
Lily On Stilts
Since meeting in 2021, Ava, Poppy and Soleil have been performing, writing and recording music together, and Lily On Stilts is their latest project. Expect an experimentation of styles ranging from rock to folk to even 1950s Doo Wop.
They Might Be Dead Frogs
Hailing from Melbourne's underground music scene, They Might Be Dead Frogs are a four-piece punk band who unapologetically fuse old-school grunge and grit with modern irreverent Aussie punk. Think heavy bass lines, overdrive and smashing cymbals as well as a blatantly honest attitude.
What The Fuzz!
What The Fuzz! promise to stir up some funk, rock and pop that will slap you in the face in the best way possible.
Minami Deguchi
19 year-old Minami Deguchi fuses storytelling lyrics with electric guitars, a departure from his classical piano background. His live shows promise high energy sing-alongs, blistering guitar solos and a dynamic backing band, promising an electrifying experience.
Mr. Pink
The members of Mr. Pink come from all across Melbourne and together they combine indie rock and pop punk influences with an infectious energy that'll get anyone on the dance floor.
No Gain
Drawing inspiration from Cage The Elephant, Paramore and The Red Hot Chili Peppers, this upcoming band from Bendigo is in no shortage of musical variety when it comes to their repertoire.
